Daniel Defoes essay entitled The Education of Women was written to accent the value of education for women should be more than what is was. In para- graph 1 us a genteel and a Christian country Defoes target audience was for men and for those who follow the church and divinity fudge. Defoe implies that if man can change his views on education for women, then a woman would be educated will be seen as an equal amongst men.
